When you’re in school you are told to get a job you love going to, one that does not “feel” like a job. Well here I am 3 jobs out of college and I find myself thinking almost every other day “what the heck am I doing”. Don’t get me wrong I have a pretty great job. I get to sell amazing product that I love and can relate to. I work with some of the biggest retailers in the world but, and yes there is a BUT is this all there is? I watch my roommate work crazy hours at a restaurant (which I have done and I will not go back), I know start-ups have their ups and downs as well (experienced that too, and the bank went to $0 real fast), and now I find myself in my current role a company that has been around for 40 years! In many aspects you can tell its been around for that long. There are some stuck in the ways that were designed in 1980 and there are some that are willing to adapt. The struggle I find personally is everyday I wake up and feel that there is a much bigger opportunity out there. This is what drove me to start this blog. There are so many people out there trying to make ends meat, living everyday just to make it to the next, going to a job they hate just because it is security and that is not the way I want to live. Trust me I understand life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies, please don’t let my name fool you, but I do know that we don’t get these days back and all those days I wake up saying “what the heck am I doing” and all those days I spend complaining I should of taken action. I have no idea on what my future endeavors will be but I know I won’t get anywhere living that cubicle life, growing someone else’s margin.
